Job summary

Central Transport is seeking an entry-level mechanic to support our fleet of over 2,200 tractors, 8,500 trailers, and 1,700 forklifts across the United States and Canada. Medical, dental, vision coverage, paid vacation, bereavement leave, and jury duty leave are included, with Blue Cross Blue Shield Blue Care Network and free uniforms provided.

This role offers hands-on experience and the potential to learn a skilled trade within a large, nationwide network of terminals.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform heavy physical work.
• Prior mechanic experience in the auto industry is a plus.

• Removing decals from trailers to be repaired.
• Minor body work on trailers.

Responsibilities Include:

• Removing decals from trailers to be repaired
• Minor body work on trailers

Physical Requirements:

• Work is considered heavy physical work requiring exertion of 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds of force frequently and up to 20 pounds of force consistently to move objects.
• Must possess strength, stamina and mobility to perform heavy physical work.
• Must be able to: walk, lift, reach, stoop, stand, grasp, balance, climb, kneel and crouch for extended periods of time
• Prior mechanic experience in the auto industry is a plus!
