Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on a diverse fleet of equipment. The role focuses on minimizing downtime while working safely in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of mechanic experience with diesel or heavy equipment, with the ability to troubleshoot hydraulic and electrical systems. A high school diploma or GED is required, and some trade training is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some trade school or equivalent training desired.
• 3–5 years of mechanic experience with similar diesel equipment and/or heavy equipment strongly preferred.
• May need to provide mechanic's tools; strong hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on equipment.
• Work to minimize downtime with safe, effective repair techniques.
• Maintain knowledge of varied fleet including aerials, pumps, generators and HVAC gear.
