The role blends hands-on diagnostics with organizing shop workflows, safety compliance, and parts inventory. Experience with diesel engines, hydraulics, and shop safety standards is preferred. We welcome part-time or full-time hours, with pay negotiable based on experience. Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years mechanical experience on automotive vehicles, forklifts, or heavy machinery.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, and small engines.
• Basic welding or metal fabrication is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to manage inventory, track maintenance schedules, and prioritize repair work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on fleet vehicles and forklifts.

We are looking for an experienced, highly skilled Shop Manager / Lead Mechanic to oversee our daily shop operations, maintain our fleet, and keep our equipment running smoothly. If you are a natural problem solver who is handy with everything from diesel forklifts and company vehicles to industrial shop machinery, we want to hear from you.

In this role, you will split your time between hands-on wrenching/maintenance and organizing shop operations to keep our team safe, productive, and efficient. We are open to part-time or full-time hours. Pay is negotiable based on experience.

Responsibilities

Fleet & Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on company cars, light/medium trucks, and forklifts (gas, LP, and electric).

Machine & Tool Upkeep: Maintain, troubleshoot, and fix shop equipment, power tools, and industrial machinery to prevent downtime.

Shop Management: Keep the shop clean, organized, well-stocked, and compliant with safety standards.

Inventory & Parts Ordering: Source parts, manage shop inventory, negotiate with suppliers, and track maintenance logs/work orders.

Safety & Compliance: Ensure all machinery and vehicles meet state safety requirements and OSHA standards.

Qualifications

Experience: 3–5+ years of mechanical experience working on automotive vehicles, forklifts, or heavy machinery.

Hands-On Diagnostic & Repair: Strong knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, small engines, and general automotive mechanics.

Fabrication/Welding (Plus): Basic welding or metal fabrication skills are a strong plus.

Organization: Ability to manage inventory, track maintenance schedules, and prioritize repair work independently.

License: Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
