Gopher Sewer and Drain is seeking a Senior Mechanic / Lead Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of vehicles and equipment. The ideal candidate has extensive hands-on experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and can manage complex repairs efficiently.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional mechanic experience preferred.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience with gas and diesel engines preferred.
• A S E certifications are a plus.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
• Experience with heavy-duty trucks, sewer/drain equipment, or commercial vehicles is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and performance-related issues
• Perform advanced repairs and preventative maintenance
• Inspect vehicles and equipment to identify needed repairs
• Complete engine, transmission, suspension, brake, steering, and electrical work
• Use diagnostic tools and software effectively
• Maintain accurate repair records and communicate findings clearly
• Ensure all work is completed safely and according to industry standards
• Mentor junior technicians when needed
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Test drive and verify repairs when necessary
