Job description

**Overview**

Performs work as part of a team in an industrial laundry facility. Responsible for the safe, expeditious, and accurate performance of routine maintenance in accordance with a daily preventative maintenance schedule.

**Shift Hours:** 3pm-11pm

**Responsibilities/Essential Functions:**

• Maintains all plant equipment, including high-volume industrial washers and dryers.
• Performs repairs, replaces equipment when necessary, and conducts basic plumbing, mechanical, and electrical work.
• Troubleshoots and resolves technical issues using manuals and schematics.
• Orders parts, tools, and equipment following procurement policies.
• Maintains maintenance schedules and records.
• Handles waste solids removal and processing.
• Performs troubleshooting, repairs, preventative maintenance, and housekeeping for wastewater hardware.
• Ensures a safe and clean work environment, following safety protocols including lock-out/tag-out procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

**Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:**

• Mechanical and basic electrical aptitude.
• Knowledge of maintenance procedures and safety techniques.
• Understanding of industrial laundry equipment and codes.
• Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Availability to work shifts, including weekends and overtime as needed.

**Working Environment/Safety Requirements:**

• Work in a high-volume production setting, exposed to weather, heat, cold, dust, and noise.
• Requires lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, reaching, and working at heights.

**Experience:**

• 1-3 years mechanical experience required.
