Job summary

Our Lady of Consolation, part of Catholic Health Services, seeks a Maintenance Mechanic focused on interior and exterior painting. You will prep, patch, sand, prime, and paint walls, ceilings, doors, and trim across a healthcare facility, while performing basic maintenance to keep residents, staff, and visitors safe and comfortable.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma and prior experience in commercial painting and general maintenance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in commercial or institutional painting and general maintenance preferred.
• Knowledge of painting techniques, surface prep, drywall repair, and finishing.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, patch, sand, prime, and paint walls, ceilings, doors, trim, and other surfaces.
• Repair drywall, plaster, and minor wall damage before painting.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs to help maintain a safe, comfortable environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
• Inspect facility areas for cosmetic and maintenance needs and complete work orders in a timely manner.
• Maintain painting equipment, tools, and supplies with proper storage and cleanup.
• Follow safety procedures, infection control protocols, and OSHA regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, patch, sand, prime, and paintwalls, ceilings, doors, trim, and othersurfaces throughout thefacility.
• Repair drywall, plaster, and minorwall damage beforepainting.
• Perform routine maintenanceand minor repairsto help maintaina safe andcomfortableenvironment for residents, visitors, and staff.

Requirements:

• High School equivalent
• Previous experience incommercialor institutional paintingand general maintenancepreferred.
• Knowledge of paintingtechniques, surface preparation,drywall repair, andfinishing.
• Experience in ahealthcare, nursinghome, or long-termcare environment isa plus.

Salary Range

The pay for this position ranges is $30.85 per hour.

This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
