Job summary

Brothers of Mercy Nursing Home Company Inc in Clarence, NY is seeking a Full-Time Painter to maintain a clean, welcoming environment for residents and staff. You will perform painting, patching, wall coverings, surface prep, and finish work on walls, ceilings, woodwork, and furniture, while following safety procedures and keeping equipment in good condition.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in painting, wall covering, and finishing techniques preferred.
• Knowledge of painting tools, equipment, and safety procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Must be able to bend, lift, stand, and move intermittently throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Perform painting, patching, and wall covering for walls, ceilings, woodwork, furniture, and other surfaces.
• Prepare surfaces by washing, sanding, priming, and filling cracks/holes as needed to ensure proper finish and adhesion.
• Maintain all painting-related equipment and supplies to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation.
• Assist in coordinating painting projects and completing preventative maintenance assignments.
• Keep all work/storage areas clean, orderly, and hazard-free.
• Follow all safety standards, using appropriate protective equipment (PPE) for assigned tasks.
• Collaborate with the Director of Plant Operations and other team members to complete daily and project-based work assignments.

Salary Range: $20.00 - $24.00 Hourly

Job Shift: DayPainter – Full Time, flexible, rotating weekends
