St. Joseph's Health in Paterson, NJ is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance across our complex and satellite facilities.
Work spans HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and grounds tasks to keep the hospital environment safe and reliable. Qualifications include a High School diploma or equivalent with up to one year of technical training or 3–5 years of related experience, and a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record as required by SJH policy.
Responsible for performing various general maintenance tasks throughout the complex and Satellite Facilities. Work includes basic tasks in any of the department trades (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry, Painting, Grounds maintenance, etc.)
Work requires a High School diploma or equivalent and up to one year of technical training or , if technical training is not applicable, 3-5 years of related work experience. Valid driver’s license with no pending violations and an acceptable driving record as stipulated by SJH policy and, if applicable, the SJH insurance carrier, for those required to drive a hospital vehicle.

St. Joseph’s Health provides a salary range to comply with New Jersey Law. The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc.” The salary range does not include incentives, differential pay or other forms of compensation.
St. Joseph’s University Medical Center is an academic tertiary care medical center and state designated trauma center, located on the Paterson campus, regularly accepts referrals of difficult or unusual cases from other hospitals and physicians and performs both complex and routine procedures.
