Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc. (ESS) is seeking a Mechanic Intern to join our Equipment team in Wisconsin. You'll gain hands-on experience diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing heavy equipment, trucks, and trailers under seasoned technicians.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Diesel/Heavy Equipment Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Construction Management, or related field, or high school diploma/equivalent with interest.
• Basic understanding of mechanical systems, tools, and equipment is a plus but not mandatory.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance support: assist with routine maintenance on heavy equipment, trucks, and trailers.
• Diagnostics & troubleshooting: observe and learn diagnosis under supervision.
• Preventative maintenance: help perform routine PM tasks to minimize downtime.
• Documentation: maintain maintenance logs and reports.
• Compliance & safety: follow safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Team collaboration: work with mechanics, equipment managers, and field staff.
• Process improvement: identify opportunities to improve maintenance processes.
