Job summary

Emery Sapp & Sons seeks a Mechanic Intern to join the Equipment team. You will gain real-world experience diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing heavy equipment, trucks, and trailers, while building a solid technical foundation for a construction and equipment career.

You will work alongside experienced staff, learn maintenance procedures, and contribute to documentation and safety compliance in a field/shop environment.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a relevant degree or technical program, or high school diploma/equivalent with interest in the field.
• Basic understanding of mechanical systems and tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist mechanics with routine maintenance and repair on heavy equipment, trucks, and trailers.
• Observe and participate in diagnosing equipment issues and contribute to solutions under supervision.
• Support preventive maintenance tasks to optimize performance and reduce downtime.
• Maintain equipment-related reports and maintenance logs.
