Job summary

Greatjob is seeking a Mechanic II to perform routine diagnostics, maintenance, and moderate repairs on company vehicles and equipment in a shop setting. The role requires solid knowledge of vehicle systems, basic welding, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

You will diagnose drivability issues, perform brake, suspension, and related repairs, and help mentor Mechanic I staff while ensuring safety and compliance with DOT and company standards.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools to identify drivability issues and fault codes.
• Basic welding and fabrication skills (MIG/STICK).
• Read and interpret service manuals, diagrams, and inspection checklists.

Responsibilities

• Perform intermediate PM and routine repairs on vehicles and landscaping equipment.
• Diagnose issues using diagnostic tools and test results.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work environment and follow disposal protocols.
• Complete work orders and service records in fleet management system.
• Collaborate with Mechanic I team members and support shop operations.
