Job summary

Horton Emergency Vehicles, a Terex Corporation unit, seeks a Mechanic I to inspect and assemble ambulance chassis. You will coordinate suspension programs (Liquid Spring/Monroe), work with the Mounting Supervisor on chassis mods, and support welding certification tests.

Qualifications include basic tool use, reading and following English instructions, good communication, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Fundamental use of various pneumatic and power tools.
• Familiar with safe operation of tools such as drill, screw gun, sander, jig saw.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the suspension programs to include Liquid Spring and Monroe Suspension programs.
• Coordinate all chassis modification duties with Mounting Supervisor.
• Assist with welding certification program and conduct certification tests as requested.
• Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
• Receive and inspect dealer supplied chassis; manage key and vehicle assignments.
