Canteen is hiring a full-time Mechanic I at our Belmont, MI location. The role focuses on operating and maintaining HVAC systems, high-pressure boilers, generators, and steam equipment. You will read meters and gauges, respond to dispatch calls, and perform repairs with company vehicles. Training is available for willingness to learn.

Qualifications

• Type I Refrigeration Certification and a Valid Non-CDL Class C driver's license are required.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains equipment including HVAC systems, high-pressure boilers, generators and steam equipment.
• Reads and records meter and gauge data to verify operating conditions.
• Responds to dispatch calls for machine repairs and travels via company vehicle.
• Dismantles machines to access problem areas and inspects parts for wear or misalignment.
• Replaces worn or defective parts, realigns and tests machine operation after repair.
• Maintains equipment inventory and assists in ordering parts.
