Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience

• High school/vocational school education or its equivalent plus three years of experience in repair work of small engine/ , grounds equipment and some diesel repair experience.

Certifications/Licenses

• A valid driver’s license and two years driving experience, plus successful completion of the Rutgers Defensive Driving Course is also required.
• May require Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B with air brake endorsement within 90 days of employment.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Experience in all phases of grounds care, including operating heavy equipment such as backhoe/loader, sweeper and farm type equipment is also required.
• Requires the ability to read write and speak English as commensurate with job duties and lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
