Job summary

Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance and engineering services across the hospital complex. You will troubleshoot and repair equipment, respond to service calls, and assist with emergencies, with a focus on keeping critical systems operating reliably.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED; 2–5 years of experience; preferred Associate or Trade School equivalency.

Facilities Engineering maintains 6 million square foot of facilities dedicated to clinical and academic functions. Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

Providing Maintenance and Engineering service and responding to service calls throughout the Hospital complex. Performs accurate and effective repairs on equipment and building systems that are considered to be within his/her capability and calls in more qualified personnel when repairs are beyond his/her capability. Performs other tasks as directed by the General Maintenance Shop Lead and Supervisor.
