BARNES-JEWISH HOSPITAL is seeking a Maintenance/Engineering professional to provide service and respond to calls across the hospital complex. You will perform repairs on equipment and building systems, ensuring uptime and safety for clinical operations.

The role operates on a 2nd shift (2:30pm-11pm) Sunday-Thursday with training on 1st shift for the first three months. Opportunities for growth exist within the Facilities Engineering department.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2-5 years of maintenance/engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs troubleshooting and repairs on equipment and building systems as assigned.
• Responds to and assists in emergency and disaster situations.
• Checks buildings to ensure essential systems operate properly.
• Performs preventative maintenance on schedule according to department standards.

Role Purpose

Providing Maintenance and Engineering service and responding to service calls throughout the Hospital complex. Performs accurate and effective repairs on equipment and building systems that are considered to be within his/her capability and calls in more qualified personnel when repairs are beyond his/her capability. Performs other tasks as directed by the General Maintenance Shop Lead and Supervisor.
