Job summary

Sun Tran in Tucson, AZ is seeking an experienced Mechanic to perform major and minor repairs on motor coaches under supervision, with emphasis on engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems. Applicants must have at least four years in automotive/heavy-duty maintenance and hold a CDL or a valid driver's license, with the ability to obtain a CDL within 90 days.

MECHANIC

Salary

Salary: $29.65/hr

Top Rate - $32.95/hr

(Increases every contract year)

Qualifications

Applicants must have a minimum of four years’ experience in automotive, truck, bus, or heavy-duty maintenance and repair with specific emphasis in the following areas: engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, steering, basic electrical and climate control.

ALL APPLICANTS MUST POSESS EITHER A CDL OR A CURRENT VALID DRIVERS LICENSE AND BE ABLE TO OBTAIN A COMMERCIAL DRIVER’S LICENSE WITHIN 90 DAYS OF EMPLOYMENT.

Major Functions

Performs major or minor repairs to motor coaches, inspections, adjustments and replacement of units under the supervision of a shop foreman or mechanics of a higher classification.
