Job summary

Transdev is seeking a Mechanic B Tech with 3–4 years of experience to diagnose, troubleshoot and repair vehicles and equipment with minimal supervision. The role includes mentoring less experienced Mechanics and teaching non-routine repair techniques as time permits.

Starting pay ranges from $37.44 to $39.50 per hour. Benefits include paid time off, sick leave, health/dental/vision coverage after 90 days, life insurance, 401k and company holidays.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years experience as Mechanic B
• Must diagnose, troubleshoot and repair vehicles and equipment with minimal supervision
• Must demonstrate mechanical proficiency and mentoring capabilities
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to teach Mechanic Cs as time permits on non-routine repairs

Responsibilities

• Adjust and reline brakes, align wheels, tighten bolts and screws, and reassemble equipment.
• Align front ends and suspension systems.
• Attach test instruments to equipment and read dials and gauges to diagnose malfunctions.
• Disassemble and overhaul internal combustion engines, pumps, generators, transmissions, clutches, and differential units.
• Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other important parts to ensure safe operation.
• Inspect, repair, and maintain automotive and mechanical equipment such as pumps and compressors.
