Job summary

Herc Rentals in Reno, NV is seeking a Mechanic B to support fleet maintenance and ensure equipment stays on the rental "ready line". You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose and repair electrical and hydraulic systems, and mentor Mechanic C technicians while adhering to safety and OEM guidelines.

The role requires a high school diploma, tool ownership, ability to drive/operate multiple vehicles, and solid diagnostic skills. Competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Own a sufficient selection of hand and air/electric tools.
• Ability to drive and operate multiple types of vehicles and equipment.
• Demonstrated proficiency in all Mechanic C-level tasks.
• Working knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems; ability to read schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on all Herc-owned fleet at the branch.
• Diagnose and repair cooling, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Use computerized tools to trace and diagnose electrical faults and sensors.
• Enter and review work orders; assist in customer damage estimates and repairs.
• Mentor Mechanic C technicians and maintain a clean, organized work area.
