Job summary

Transdev North America in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel gas engines across our vehicle fleet. You will assist senior mechanics, perform routine maintenance, and help ensure safety and reliability of operations. Starting pay is $31.75 per hour with progression to $33.02 per hour over four years.

Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic.
  • ASE certifications required; ASE certification program provided.
  • Mechanic’s Tool Set and basic diagnostic tools required.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct diagnostic tests using advanced tools and software to troubleshoot gas engine issues.
  • Perform moderate complexity repairs and replacements on gas engine components, ensuring optimal functionality.
  • Assist A-Level Mechanics in advanced diagnostic and repair tasks, contributing to efficient workflow.
  • Execute routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize engine performance.
  • Lead diagnostic tests to accurately identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies for gas engines
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on gas engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, assisting them in developing their skills and knowledge
  • Other duties as required

Maintenance Technician B

Transdev in Atlanta, Georgia, is seeking an experienced B-Level Gasoline Mechanic to bolster our team. This role demands expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines across various vehicles and equipment. As a Mechanic, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our vehicles.

  • Starting pay $31.75 with progression to $33.02 over 4 years.
Benefits

  • Paid Sick Leave: 8 hrs monthly for full-time employees/ 5 hrs monthly for part-time employees; medical, dental & vision after 90 calendar days of employment for full-time employees, life insurance, 401k retirement benefits, and company holidays.

Key Responsibilities

  • Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
  • Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.
Physical Requirements
  • The essential functions of this position require the ability to:
  • Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions-100% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations.
  • Sit for extended periods (up to 6-8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces
  • Push and pull objects up to 50 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level
  • Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
