Job Opportunity: Mechanic Assistant at STARFLEET

STARFLEET, a locally owned and operated family business, is seeking an experienced Mechanic Assistant. The ideal candidate must have a CDL Class A or B Driver's License to work on a fleet of trucks and related equipment. This is a full-time position with some overtime.

The Mechanic Helper will be responsible for scheduled preventative maintenance, including basic engine, hydraulic system, and transmission maintenance (oil and filter changes), brake adjustments and repairs, tire repairs, and other basic mechanical tasks as required.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Scheduled maintenance and repair of semi-tractors, trailers, and trucks.
• Knowledge of engines, transmissions, suspensions, hydraulics, basic electrical troubleshooting, and tire repair.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience preferred.
• CDL A or B license required, with Hazmat/Tanker endorsement.
• Willingness to work weekends and be flexible with scheduling.
• Ability to travel to different job sites as needed.
• Physical ability to bend, push, pull, and lift.
• Must have a clean driving record and pass background and drug screenings.
