Job description

SSI Petroleum, Located in Winter Haven, Florida, is looking for a Mechanic Assistant.

Qualifications/Responsibilities:

1. Applicants must possess the ability to troubleshoot and repair simple mechanical/electrical systems and keep accurate records of those tasks.
2. Assemble, maintain, and repair portable tanks, pumps, motors, power generation, and hydraulic equipment.
3. Assist maintenance mechanic with all duties, i.e., changing engine oil, fluids repair of flat tires, etc.
4. Perform basic preventative maintenance functions on fleet equipment.
5. Maintain inventory of tools and supplies as needed for daily tasks.
6. Possess a clean CDL Class B license.
7. Hazmat endorsement is preferred.
8. Able to safely operate multiple vehicles and most heavy mobile equipment.
9. Physically able to climb ladders and lift heavy objects routinely.
10. Willing to travel between the various branches and job sites throughout South Florida as needed.
11. Detail-oriented, team player with strong communication skills.
12. Motivated to learn and willing to work weekends as needed and flexible with schedule.
13. An energetic, motivated, eager, positive-minded individual who desires to be part of growing operations.
14. Must be willing to complete a background and drug screening.
