Job summary

Hyatt Regency Phoenix is seeking a skilled Mechanic to cover overnight shifts and perform preventative maintenance on key hotel systems. You will troubleshoot across plumbing, electrical, and mechanical networks in guest rooms, meeting spaces, kitchens, and back-of-house areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one to three years of general maintenance experience in facilities or hotel engineering.
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
• Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Ability to work overnight shifts, weekends and holidays.
• Physical ability to stand, climb and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide overnight shift coverage and respond to maintenance needs across all hotel areas.
• Perform preventative maintenance on major equipment and building systems.
• Inspect guest rooms, meeting spaces, back-of-house areas, kitchen, and mechanical systems.
• Diagnose issues and perform troubleshooting with strong communication.
• Prioritize safety and ensure life-safety system readiness.

A Mechanic will be responsible for providing overnight shift coverage and must demonstrate strong troubleshooting abilities across all areas of facility maintenance. The role performs preventative maintenance on major equipment and building systems. In addition, includes guest rooms, meeting spaces, front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house areas, as well as kitchen, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.

Candidates should have a minimum ofthree years of building maintenance experience and possess a solid working knowledge of all major building systems, including life‑safety systems. Strong communication skills are essential for success in this position.
