An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Mechanic-A to maintain its state-of-the-art power generation facility. The duties and responsibilities of Mechanic-A are to maintain the Astoria 500 MW Combined Cycle Plant and associated equipment to meet availability, generation, and plant heat rate requirements by prudent maintenance practices.
In this position you will maintain the Astoria 500 MW Combined Cycle Plant equipment while working in a professional, team oriented, multi-disciplined environment to meet plant availability, reliability and power generation of the facility. You will be responsible for maintaining all plant components including but not limited to gas and steam turbines, heat recovery steam generators, environmental control systems, cooling tower equipment, boiler feed, condensate, and balance of plant equipment. This position requires working 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday and overtime as necessary.

Hourly rates for union-represented employees are collectively bargained by the New York Power Authority and UWUA. The negotiated pay rate for this position from $40.99 to $52.38 per hour.
