Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Maintenance Mechanic.
In this role, the successful candidate under the management of the Operations Manager and general guidance from the Team Leader for Building Services, performs the duties normally required by one or more of the following trades: Refrigeration, Carpentry, Painting, Plumbing, HVAC, and Electrical.
Job Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or Equivalent. Five (5) years of experience; or equivalent combination of Trade or vocational school graduation shall reduce the previous requirement to four (4) years. Must have the ability to perform the duties normally required by one or more of the following trades: Refrigeration, Carpentry, Painting, Plumbing, HVAC, and Electrical.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience as a maintenance mechanic or helper is desirable. Must have the ability to handle many priority objectives at once with full regard to safety, and code compliance.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $63,445.35 - $68,601.43 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
