Empower Rental Group is hiring a Yard Technician - Mechanic 1 at the Calvert City, KY branch. The role involves preparing rental equipment for delivery, performing repairs and maintenance, and maintaining clean, organized yards and shops.

The candidate should have 0–2 years of hands-on experience, a valid driver’s license, good customer service skills, and basic tools. Responsibilities include loading/unloading equipment, documenting rental tags, assisting customers, and supporting other

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a similar role or in equipment rental/maintenance.
• Excellent customer service skills for internal and external customers.
• Average computer skills for basic checklists and records.
• Must have own basic tools and the ability to perform basic equipment prep and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Cleans Equipment.
• Assists customers with loading and unloading fleet orders.
• Makes notes on rental tags.
• Assists customers with questions and provides basic customer service.
• Helps other mechanics with tasks and moves heavy objects as needed.
• Cleans up the yard and shop area.
• Performs minor diagnostics and basic repairs on small fleets.

Job DetailsJob Location: Calvert City V - Calvert City, KY 42029Empower Rental Group is hiring a Yard Technician - Mechanic 1 in Calvert City, KY!

Empower Rental Group is a family of local equipment rental providers across the southeastern US. We began with 3 locations in 2021 with the goal of being the difference in the equipment rental industry by doing everything differently. We now have over 36 locations, and we are adding a Mechanic 1 - Yard Technician to our team at the Calvert City branch!

Our Mechanics prepare rental equipment for delivery, make appropriate modifications and repairs to units before delivery, and clean units before delivery. Our Mechanics repair and clean equipment upon return from customer sites and complete service calls on units currently located at customer sites as assigned. Our Mechanics also complete preventative maintenance as needed, as well as general yard work such as cleaning or preparing areas of work.

Job Requirements:

• 0-2 years of experience
• Valid Driver’s License and the Ability to Drive Company Vehicles per Insurance Requirements may be required on a case-by-case basis, depending on branch needs.
• Excellent Customer Service Skills – for both internal and external customers.
• Exhibits average computer skills.
• Completes rental equipment preparation by the delivery date.
• Maintains a ready line.
• Achieves quality standards.
• Must have own basic tools.
