Empower Rental Group is seeking a Yard Technician - Mechanic 1 in Nashville, TN. The role involves cleaning equipment, helping customers load and unload fleet orders, and noting rental tags. You will assist mechanics and perform basic diagnostics while keeping the yard and shop area clean and safe.

Ideal candidates have 0-2 years of experience, own basic tools, and strong customer service skills. A valid driver’s license may be required on a case-by-case basis, depending on branch needs.

Responsibilities

• Clean equipment and maintain yard/shop areas.
• Assist customers with loading/unloading fleet orders and answer questions.
• Make notes on rental tags and ensure accurate documentation.
• Assist other mechanics with tasks such as lifting or moving heavy objects.
• Perform minor diagnostics and possible minor repairs on small fleet.
• Maintain a safe work environment and follow company core values.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the business.

Responsibilities

• Cleans Equipment.
• Assists customers with loading and unloading fleet orders.
• Makes notes on rental tags.
• Assists customers with questions/customer service as applicable.
• Assists other mechanics with tasks such as lifting or moving heavy objects.
• Cleans up the yard and shop area.
• Performs some minor diagnoses of issues with the fleet.
• May perform repairs on the small fleet.
• Maintains a safe work environment.
• Performs job functions safely at all times.

Requirements
