Quality Repair Solutions (QRS Shops) provides tractor & trailer maintenance across 60+ shops and offers growth opportunities for skilled technicians. We are seeking detail-oriented technicians in Geismar, LA to diagnose and repair tractors and trailers, perform 90-day inspections, ensure FHWA compliance, and safely move trailers around the facility.

Qualifications

• Learn and demonstrate vehicle/engine theory and repair
• Demonstrate diesel engine, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical knowledge
• Understand DOT rules, company policies, and safety standards

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair tractors and trailers.
• Perform annual/systematic 90 day inspections.
• Ensure equipment meets FHWA standards.
• Operate yard hostler to move trailers.
• Identify parts and supplies as needed.
• Follow OSHA safety and environmental policies.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas.
• Use welding equipment.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair tractors and trailers.
• Perform annual/systematic 90 day inspections on equipment as required.
• Ensure equipment meets Federal FHWA standards.
• Operate a yard hostler truck to move trailers within the facility yard and the shop as needed.
• Be able to identify parts and supplies as needed.
• Adhere to all established safety (OSHA) and environmental policies and standards to include identification, use, and proper procedures for handling or disposal of hazardous waste.
• Clean, organize and maintain the work environment to ensure equipment longevity and workplace safety.
• Use welding equipment.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Able to learn and demonstrate vehicle and equipment theory, principles and repair relating to diesel engines, air, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
• Able to learn and demonstrate tractor and trailer maintenance, DOT rules and regulations, company policies and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma, completion of G.E.D., or equivalent vocational school preferred, but not required.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing tractors and trailers.
• Dynamic, ambitious and engaged team player.
