Job summary

The Vortex Companies, LLC is seeking a Mechanic to perform maintenance and repairs on vehicles and equipment. You will inspect, diagnose, and service a wide range of machines used in infrastructure projects. You will stay current on new repair techniques, follow safety procedures, and communicate findings clearly to service advisors.

Must supply your own basic tools; DOT checks and valid license required. We offer competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have your own basic tools; company provides specialty tools.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass DOT-related checks.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a wide variety of vehicles.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
• Conduct routine services such as oil changes, tire rotations, alignments, and brake repairs.
• Use diagnostic equipment and service manuals to identify and resolve issues.
• Communicate findings and repair needs clearly to service advisors.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all safety protocols and company procedures.
• Stay current on new technology and repair techniques through training.

The Mechanic will perform maintenance and repairs on vehicles and equipment.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Perform inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a wide variety of vehicles.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems
• Conduct routine services such as oil changes, tire rotations, alignments, and brake repairs
• Use diagnostic equipment and service manuals to identify and resolve issues.
• Communicate findings and repair needs clearly to service advisors.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all safety protocols and company procedures.
• Stay current on new technology and repair techniques through training.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must have your own basic tools. Company will provide any specialty tools.
• Valid driver's license required and must be able to pass pre-employment drug test, background check, D.O.T. physical and driver’s license check for past 36 months without any suspensions or major traffic violations (D.O.T. requirements).
