Job summary

Vortex Companies, LLC is seeking a Mechanic to perform maintenance and repairs on a wide range of vehicles and equipment at our facilities. The role requires diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems and carrying out routine services to keep fleets running smoothly.

You will work in a fast-paced environment with a safety-first culture, receive training and development support, and contribute to a growing infrastructure leader in trenchless technologies.

Qualifications

• Must provide own basic tools; company will supply specialty tools.
• Valid driver's license required and must pass pre-employment drug test, background check, DOT physical and license verification.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and communicate repair findings clearly to service advisors.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a wide variety of vehicles.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems
• Conduct routine services such as oil changes, tire rotations, alignments, and brake repairs
• Use diagnostic equipment and service manuals to identify and resolve issues
• Communicate findings and repair needs clearly to service advisors
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all safety protocols and company procedures
• Stay current on new technology and repair techniques through training
• Other duties as assigned.

The Mechanic will perform maintenance and repairs on vehicles and equipment.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a wide variety of vehicles.


• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems
