Job summary

Vortex Companies, LLC in Huntington Beach, CA is seeking a skilled Equipment Mechanic to repair and maintain Company trucks, trailers, and field equipment, ensuring readiness for the job site. Qualifications

• Mechanic or equipment maintenance experience required.
• Experience with trucks, small engines, trailers, and construction equipment preferred.
• Shop lead or shop management experience preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Dependable, organized, and safety-focused.
• Basic computer or mobile device skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must be willing and able to travel as required.
• Able to lift and handle tools, parts, and equipment as needed.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain Company trucks, tools, trailers, and equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
• Work on small engines, pickup trucks, medium duty trucks and construction equipment
• Manage day-to-day shop operations and keep the shop clean, safe, and organized
• Prioritize repairs and keep equipment ready for the field
• Track maintenance, repairs, parts, and equipment needs
• Order parts and work with outside vendors when needed
• Communicate repair status and equipment issues with supervisors and crews
• Travel to Company locations and jobsites as required for repairs, maintenance, and equipment support
• Follow all Company safety procedures
• Help with other shop and field needs as assigned

Salary Range

• $30.00 - $40.00, depending on position qualifications, job related skills and experience, education, certifications, and geographic location.
