Pay Rate: $34.10 / hour

Duties:

The Mechanic will repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment, including engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines. Key responsibilities include:

• Observing mechanical devices in operation to identify the causes of issues.
• Diagnosing equipment failures and recommending appropriate repair actions.
• Dismantling devices to remove and replace defective parts and installing special functional and structural components.
• Adjusting functional parts of devices and control instruments.
• Initiating purchase orders for parts and machinery.
• Ensuring that all equipment complies with OEM specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Administering the Preventive Maintenance program using the computer system and following Preventive Maintenance Work Order procedures.

Position Requirements:

Job Qualifications:

• Technical school education is preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of mechanical repair experience in a heavy industrial setting or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Working Conditions / Physical Demands:

• The employee will regularly be required to stand, walk, use hands for handling or feeling, and reach with hands and arms.
• The employee will frequently need to climb, balance, and communicate verbally or by listening.
• The employee may occasionally be required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
