Job summary

Applied Industrial Technologies in Tampa, FL is seeking a skilled technician to assemble, disassemble, and repair pumps, motors, cylinders, and valves in both shop and field environments. You will diagnose problems, identify parts, and test items according to procedures.

The role requires three years of mechanical experience, preferably with hydraulics; a high school diploma or GED; and adherence to safety and environmental policies, with ability to operate cranes and other equipment.

• Test completed pumps, motors, cylinders, and valves according to written procedures.
• Maintain a neat and orderly shop and record parts and materials needed.
• Assist in installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and controls.
• Weld as needed.

Position Summary

Assemble, disassemble, and repair pumps, motors, cylinders, and valves. Diagnose problems and identify parts needed to repair. Test all items, perform work in both shop and field environment.

Essential Functions

• Repairs pumps, motors, cylinders, and valves.
• Tear down pumps, motors, cylinders, and valves for repair. Identify parts needed to repair.
• Build new pumps, motors, cylinders, and valves.
• Assist in machine shop as needed.
• Test completed pumps, motors, valves, and cylinders according to written procedures.
• Clean, lubricate, and adjust parts, equipment, and machinery.
• Record parts and materials needed and request new parts and materials, as necessary.
• Maintain a neat and orderly shop.
• Hone/repair barrels.
• Aid in the installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and controls.
• Maintain test stands and equipment in accordance with ISO procedures.
• Know, understand, and abide by environmental policies.
• Weld as needed.
