Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in automotive mechanics and hand/tools.
• Basic welding or metal-working/grinding experience preferred.
• Ability to lift heavy parts, stand long periods, and perform detailed manual labor (up to 50 lbs).
• Experience in automotive repair, custom body modification, or specialty vehicle manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Fit, weld, and secure ballistic steel, composite materials, and armored glass into vehicle chassis and doors.
• Upgrade heavy-duty suspension and braking systems to handle armored weight.
• Strip and reassemble interior trim, dashboards, and seats around armor installation.
• Perform precision grinding, fitting, and finishing to maintain discreet and safe vehicle operation.

Job Title: Mechanic

Job Description

The role of a Mechanic/Fabricator involves building and retrofitting high-protection tactical and passenger vehicles. This includes installing advanced ballistic armor systems, modifying suspensions and heavy-duty mechanical components, and reassembling vehicle interiors and exteriors to meet rigorous survival standards.

Responsibilities

• Fit, weld, and secure specialized ballistic steel, composite materials, and transparent armor (ballistic glass) into vehicle chassis and doors.
• Upgrade and adjust heavy-duty suspension systems, braking systems, and heavy-load hinges to compensate for the added weight of vehicle armoring.
• Carefully strip interior trim, dashboards, and seats prior to modification, and cleanly reinstall them post-armoring.
• Perform precision grinding, fitting, and finishing to ensure absolute discretion and structural integrity without compromising vehicle functions.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
