Aerotek in Aitkin, MN seeks a skilled Welding Technician to produce metal components using MIG/TIG and other welding techniques. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and efficiency in a well-equipped facility.
You will set up welds, test and inspect results, maintain machines, and report daily production. This contract-to-hire position is fully onsite, with competitive pay and benefits.
We are seeking a skilled Welding Technician who is adept at producing metal components through various welding techniques. This position requires a strong understanding of welding processes and a commitment to safety and quality standards.
Possess an advanced understanding of welding necessary to produce metal components.
Follow all safety policies and procedures, including lockout/Tag out protocols.
Weld two or more different types (Mig, Tig, etc.).
Set up components for welding according to specifications.
Test and inspect welded surfaces and structures to discover flaws with the Quality team.
Adjust welding machines as needed.
Accurately report daily production quantities to meet the set number of parts per hour.
Ensure consistent and accurate counts of materials and products.
Perform daily maintenance on welding machines.
Conduct necessary quality checks on products and complete daily communication.
Set up workstations according to safety standards to maximize efficiency.
Maintain a clean and organized work area and maintain all equipment according to established procedures.
Maintain a positive attitude with customers, clients, co-workers, and management.
Complete the first part approval process for complex jobs.
Tack weldments or components for robotic welding as needed.
Touch up points in the robotic weld cell when necessary.
Advanced understanding of various welding techniques.
Ability to follow safety protocols and procedures.
Proficiency in welding two or more types such as Mig and Tig.
Skill in setting up components for welding and adjusting machines.
Experience in testing and inspecting welded surfaces.
Ability to report production quantities accurately.
Fabrication skills.
Experience with robotic welding processes.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Aitkin, MN.
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
