Job summary

IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical in Holdrege, Nebraska seeks a full-time Mechanic to maintain and repair diesel engines and heavy equipment at the Holdrege shop and on job sites.

You will diagnose, troubleshoot hydraulics and pneumatics, install new equipment, interpret manuals and schematics, and manage parts inventory and records.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of related experience preferred.
• Experience with engines/heavy equipment/hydraulics.
• High School Diploma/GED.
• Valid motor vehicle driver's license.
• OSHA-10 or ability to obtain.
• Successfully pass pre-employment drug test and MVR check.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel engines and heavy equipment.
• Perform hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting and repair.
• Install new equipment.
• Interpret manuals, blueprints, electrical, and hydraulic schematics.
• Responsible for inventory—research parts, order, receive, and return parts.

• Perform hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting and repair.
• Install new equipment.
• Interpret manuals, blueprints, electrical, and hydraulic schematics.
• Responsible for inventory - researching parts in manuals, ordering and receiving parts, and returning unused parts to vendors.
• Maintains equipment records and DOT inspection forms.
• Complies with all company and customer safety policies and procedures.
• Some travel may be required.
