South Main Trucking Co. currently has an opening at our Greensburg branch for a Mechanic. Responsibilities include servicing and repairing vehicles, troubleshooting mechanical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and other duties as assigned. Work hours are Daylight M-F 8:00 am-4:30 pm and Afternoon M-F 12:00 pm-8:00 pm.

Requirements:

1. MUST HAVE OWN TOOLS
2. Prefer to have a Class 7 Inspection License
3. Prefer to have a Class B Driver’s License
4. Prefer to have some forklift mechanical knowledge
5. Willing to travel to other branches for repairs
6. Must pass DOT Physical
7. Must have a clean driving record
8. Previous Diesel experience required
9. Regularly lift 25-50 lbs
10. Mechanical troubleshooting skills
11. Excellent communication skills
12. Ability to perform repairs including oil, tires, brakes, lamps, and other parts
13. Must pass background check and drug screen
14. Electrical knowledge
15. Basic computer skills
16. Motivated, able to work independently and in a team
17. Willing to learn and expand skills
18. Effective written and verbal communication
19. Work overtime as required
20. Meet DOT regulatory requirements for operating company vehicles
21. Familiar with DOT regulations and truck operations
22. Sign all documentation to meet DOT and company requirements

Education: Graduate of a technical or military school, or relevant work experience acceptable to the company.
