OTC Industrial Technologies is seeking a skilled Mechanic in the United States to repair and service pumps, compressors, turbines, and related rotating equipment. You will interpret drawings, document measurements, and ensure quality by following OEM standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to use precision tools.
• Familiar with rotating equipment standards (API/ANSI/OEM).

Responsibilities

• Performs duties under Shop Manager to meet daily team goals.
• Disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble pumps, compressors, turbines, gearboxes, and related rotating equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and lead root cause analysis.
• Interpret technical drawings, OEM manuals, and repair specifications.
• Document repair findings, measurements, tolerances, and parts used.
• Represent OTC professionally and build customer relationships.
• Follow safety protocols and participate in ongoing training.
• Handle emergency service calls to keep operations moving.
• Be flexible and take on additional responsibilities as needed.

Competitive Pay:This position offersanhourly wage ranging from$25/hr. to $35/hr., depending on experience and qualifications.

What You'll Do:

• Performs duties assigned under the direction of Shop Manager to ensure the team is aligned to the goals and objectives for the team for each day.


• Perform and oversee the disassembly, inspection, repair, and reassembly of pumps, compressors, turbines, gearboxes, and related rotating equipment.


• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and lead root cause analysis on equipment failures.


• Interpret technical drawings, OEM manuals, and repair specifications.


• Ensure proper documentation of repair findings, measurements, tolerances, and parts used.


• Represent OTC professionally and build strong customer relationships.


• Follow safety protocols and stay current through ongoing training.


• Handle emergency service calls with speed and precision to keep operations moving.


• Be flexible and ready to take on additional responsibilities as needed.

What You'll Need:

• High school diploma or GED.


• Mechanical aptitude; multi-craft experience a plus. Proficient in using precision measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, dial indicators).


• Strong understanding of mechanical fits, tolerances, and alignment procedures.


• Familiar with API, ANSI, and OEM standards related to rotating equipment.


• Self-starter with a positive attitude and organized work habits.


• Valid driver's license; able to pass drug test and background check.


• Physical ability to sit, stand, and bend for extended periods.


• Coachable and eager to learn.
