Job summary

NG Companies is seeking a skilled Mechanic to perform repairs and maintenance on a mixed fleet, including semis, Hydrovac trucks, trailers and pickups. The role emphasizes safe, timely service and accurate documentation.

Candidates should bring hands-on experience with heavy equipment, strong safety acumen, and the ability to work overtime or weekends when needed. Strong teamwork and communication are essential to keep the fleet running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Must pass a pre-employment physical.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in heavy‑duty construction, Hydrovac, Vacuum Truck equipment and Fleet repair experience preferred.
• Must have an approved MVR to drive a company vehicle - Class A or Class B preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Interpret work orders and technical manuals.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical failures.
• Comply with warranty procedures and warranty material on completion of repairs.
• Complies with all DOT, MSA, and OSHA regulations.
• Use instructions to ensure complete service documentation.
• Notifies and/or coordinates additional repairs with the Fleet Manager.
• Assist other technicians, as necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management / lead mechanic.

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled mechanic looking for a hands‑on role in a fast‑paced environment: a Mechanic to join our team and keep our fleet running smoothly. If you have experience with semis, Hydrovac trucks, trailers and pickup trucks we want to hear from you!

Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports

None

Summary/Objective

Carry out repairs and maintenance according to manufacturer's procedures in a safe, responsible, and timely manner.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

Available to work some overtime and weekends when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Correctly interpret work orders and technical manuals
• Correctly troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical failures

• Must be able to repetitively sit, lift, stoop, bend, squat, kneel, reach and crawl
• Must be able to repeatedly lift a minimum of 50 pounds
• Be able to work extended hours and variable shifts
