LTR RIGGING & HAULING in Buffalo, NY is seeking a skilled Truck Mechanic to join our busy truck repair and towing shop. You will diagnose and repair issues with truck performance and conduct NYS inspections for heavy‑duty vehicles.

The ideal candidate communicates clearly with customers, explains vehicle issues concisely, and provides practical repair guidance. A high school diploma is required, CDL preferred, and a clean driving record with ability to pass a DOT physical.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• CDL (Preferred or willing to obtain).
• Clean driving record and drug test/DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicles coming into the shop
• Provide roadside service
• Carry out routine vehicle maintenance tasks such as tire rotations, oil changes, and brake pad replacements
• Conduct in-depth vehicle inspections of all systems, including engine, transmission, and brakes
• Create repair estimates and timelines
• Maintain accurate repair shop records and paperwork
• Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and repeat business

As a Truck Mechanic, you must have an in-depth understanding of all vehicle systems and components. You will also be responsible for NYS Inspections for heavy-duty trucks.
