Job summary

Stauffers of Kissel Hill in Mount Joy, PA is seeking a part-time Team Member to assist with meat and deli preparation, customer service, and display setup.

Shifts are 4pm-8pm, 2-3 evenings per week with weekend flexibility; pay is $14.00 per hour with weekly pay. You will work in a friendly, family-owned environment that values teamwork and on-the-job training.

No experience required; must be at least 16; lifting up to 80 pounds is expected as part of the role.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation of specialty items.
• Cut meats for grinding or use in burgers, meat loaf, and sausage.

• Operate equipment as needed (18+).
• Manage price tags and coordinate with scan department.
• Receive and inspect merchandise and restock as needed.
• Prepare, package and rotate products per guidelines.
• Set and sign displays to attract customers and promote sales.
• Take and fulfill customer orders timely.
• Take inventory to identify reorder needs.

Responsibilities

• Assists with the preparation of specialty items.
• Cuts meats into small pieces suitable for grinding, and/or grinds meat for use ashamburgers, meat loaf and sausage.
• Prepares and wraps meat and/or poultry for display and/or customer request.
• Cleans department area, including equipment, containers, storage areas, aisles, and displaycases; keeping products and supplies well organized.
• Operates equipment, if needed (if over 18 years of age).
• Operates price scale with knowledge of current prices. Prices or changes price tags onmerchandise referring to price list and in coordination with scan department.
• Receives, opens, and unpacks cartons and crates of merchandise, checking invoice againstitems received. Promptly clears floor of all restocking equipment and debris.
• Prepares, packages, and rotates product according to departmental guidelines.
• Sets and signs displays of merchandise to attract customers and promote sales.
• Takes and processes customer orders according to customer request ensuring that product is ready on time.
• Takes inventory or examines merchandise on a regular basis, to identify items needing to be reordered or replenished.

Qualifications

• While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly exposed to cold temperatures while working in or around the coolers.
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds.
• The employee must be at least 16 years old.
