The Meat Specialist will work with team members to ensure customer satisfaction, perform cutting tests, and uphold Hy-Vee policies while adhering to safety and health guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Hy-Vee food safety training preferred.
• Over one year of related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides prompt, friendly customer service and engages customers with a helpful smile in all interactions.
• Greets customers courteously and addresses them by name when possible.
• Assists customers by guiding them to products, loading heavy items, and noting customer requests.
• Operates meat cutting equipment safely and performs tendernessing, grinding, and cutting as required.
• Prepares cutting lists for case fills and conducts cutting tests to ensure quality.
• Monitors refrigeration temperatures and maintains department hygiene and dress standards.
