Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a Meat Specialist in the Meat department to cut and merchandise all fresh meat items. You will provide friendly customer service, help customers locate products, and maintain proper refrigeration and hygiene standards in a fast-paced environment.

This position requires high school or equivalent, Hy-Vee food safety training preferred, and the ability to work in a team while following company policies. Prior experience in meat or retail is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be able to solve practical problems and perform arithmetic calculations.
• High School or equivalent required; Hy-Vee food safety training preferred.
• Experience in meat department or similar role is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Cuts and merchandises fresh meat products.
• Provides prompt, friendly customer service and helps customers locate items.
• Maintains refrigeration and hygiene standards in the meat department.
• Handles cutting lists, loading/unloading, and assisting with store operations as needed.
• Reports to work on schedule and follows company policies.
