Hy-Vee in Minnesota is seeking a Meat Specialist to cut and merchandise fresh meat while delivering excellent customer service. You will greet customers, assist with product selection, and help with cutting and packaging tasks in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires on-site work with a focus on safety, hygiene, and teamwork. The starting hourly wage ranges from $17.00 to $21.25 depending on experience, with potential for growth.

Formación

• High School diploma or equivalent; Hy-Vee food safety training.
• Over one year of related work experience preferred.
• Able to perform arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages.

Responsabilidades

• Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions and treating customers as the most important people in the store.
• Assists customers by escorting them to the products they’re looking for, securing out-of-reach items, loading or unloading heavy items, and passing along customer suggestions or requests.
• Answers the telephone promptly and provides friendly, helpful service to customers who call.
• Takes cutting lists, conducts cutting tests, and prepares products in the meat department.
• Monitors refrigeration for proper temperatures and maintains department hygiene and dress standards.
• Wraps, weighs, and labels product; replenishes and organizes coolers; performs cleaning; handles other department duties as needed.
