Job summary

Cloverdale Foods is seeking hardworking Packing Assistants to craft meat snacks from start to finish. You will follow instructions, assist with labeling, weighing, stacking, and pallet loading, and help ensure quality, safety, and efficient production.

Qualifications

• Experience in food processing, manufacturing, or production is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to daily work instructions to ensure efficient production.
• Pack products into cases with correct quantities and packaging standards.
• Read, interpret, and maintain Packaging Log Sheets for accurate record-keeping.
• Maintain Metal Detector charts and Log Sheets for safety and quality compliance.
• Demonstrate commitment to quality, safety, and efficiency in all tasks.
• Support collaboration among team members to foster a positive, productive work environment.
• Adhere to all plant, OSHA, and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
• Assist in transferring finished products from production to warehouse for storage.
• Scan packaged products into the inventory system to maintain stock records.
• Perform repetitive tasks to ensure smooth operations.
• Be flexible to work at different workstations as needed by production.
• Inspect, sort, count, and place products into conveyors, pack, label, seal, palletize, and wrap as per procedures.
• Monitor product quality and report deficiencies to Line Lead or Supervisor.
• Regularly clean work areas and equipment to maintain safety and sanitation.
• Offer suggestions to improve labor efficiency and reduce costs.
• Ensure compliance with policies, GMPs, and regulatory requirements.
