The role emphasizes teamwork, excellent customer service, and the ability to work flexible hours to support store needs.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with basic math and weights/measures knowledge.
• Minimum of 2 years professional leadership experience and 2–3 years grocery retail Meat department experience preferred.
• Dependable and reliable with the ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Outgoing, friendly with strong customer interaction skills.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift 25–90 lbs as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Meat & Seafood Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit.
• Responsible for ordering, inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Meat & Seafood team.
• Coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through planning, direction, and teamwork.
• Assist in leading a team that delivers high-quality product and service.
• Assist in hiring, teaching, training, and developing the Meat & Seafood team.
• Ensure compliance with receiving, stocking, unloading, and freshness standards; follow safety protocols.
