Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Meat Manager to support the Meat & Seafood team in delivering high-quality products and exceptional customer service. This role emphasizes leadership, inventory control, and collaboration with store management in a fast-paced grocery environment.

The position requires prior meat department experience, strong teamwork, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional experience in grocery retail Meat department preferred
• Proven leadership experience
• 2-3 years of grocery retail Meat department processes preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist the Meat & Seafood Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit
• Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Meat & Seafood team
• Coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through planning, direction, and teamwork
• Assist in leading a team to deliver high quality products and excellent customer service
• Assist in hiring, teaching, training, developing the Meat & Seafood team
• Ensure adherence to weekly ad items and inventory processes, maintaining freshness and quality, and following Clean as You Go and Fresh at 4 programs
• Unload and sort store deliveries, operate and maintain meat & seafood equipment
• Enforce health, safety, and sanitation guidelines across the team
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment and apply promptly
