Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a Meat Clerk in the Meat Department to provide prompt, friendly service, wrap and weigh products, and keep cases stocked. You will greet customers, assist with product selection, and maintain sanitation throughout the department.

This role emphasizes teamwork, accuracy, and a positive shopping experience. The position requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 85 lbs occasionally, and working night and weekend shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent. Food safety training preferred.
• Six months or less of similar or related work.

Responsibilities

• Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service in the Meat/Seafood Department.
• Wraps, weighs, labels product and stocks cases.
• Assists customers by guiding to products, securing items, and handling requests.
• Maintains sanitation and neat work area; rotates products for freshness.
• Reports out-of-stock items and maintains department guidelines.
