Job summary

Willy Street Co-op in Madison, WI is seeking a Butcher II to lead our meat and seafood counter. You will produce high quality cuts, advise customers, and help expand our product selection with research and collaboration with the Meat Department Manager and Purchasing.

The role requires at least 2 years of butcher experience, knowledge of meat grades and HACCP/Servsafe principles, and a commitment to outstanding customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' butcher experience required.
• Knowledge of meat grades and HACCP/Servsafe principles.
• Strong customer service and communication in English.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead meat and seafood counter product selection and recipes.
• Cut, trim, bone, tie, and grind meats as needed.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and compliance in the meat dept.
• Assist with inventory, receiving, and pricing data with SMS.
• Greet customers and provide guidance on meat and seafood.
