Save More Food Market is seeking a dependable Meat Cutter for our Minocqua location to join the Meat Department. You will cut, prepare, package, and display fresh meat products while upholding high standards for quality, freshness, sanitation, and customer service.

The role involves cutting, trimming, grinding, and preparing various meats, following specifications and production plans, and operating department equipment.

Qualifications

• Prior meat-cutting experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Cut, trim, bone, grind, and prepare beef, pork, poultry, and other meat products.
• Prepare steaks, roasts, chops, ground meat, and other customer-ready cuts.
• Follow cutting specifications, portion standards, and production plans.
• Operate saws, grinders, slicers, tenderizers, wrapping equipment, and other meat-dept. equipment.
• Package, weigh, label, price, and stock meat products.
• Maintain attractive, fresh, and fully stocked service and self-service displays.
• Inspect products for quality, freshness, and rotation.
• Monitor inventory and assist with production planning and ordering.
• Minimize shrink by proper cutting, handling, rotation, and storage.
• Prepare special cuts and customer orders.
• Provide knowledgeable and friendly service to customers.
• Clean and sanitize equipment, cutting areas, coolers, display cases, and floors.
• Follow all food-safety, sanitation, and workplace-safety requirements.
• Assist with receiving and properly storing meat deliveries.

Save More Food Market is seeking a dependable and experienced Meat Cutter to join the Meat Department at our Minocqua location.

This position is responsible for cutting, preparing, packaging, and displaying fresh meat products while maintaining high standards for quality, freshness, sanitation, and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Follow established cutting specifications, portion standards, and production plans
• Operate saws, grinders, slicers, tenderizers, wrapping equipment, and other meat-department equipment

• Maintain attractive, fresh, and fully stocked service and self-service displays

• Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team
• Comfortable working in refrigerated environments
• Ability to stand for extended periods and regularly lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as scheduled
